The ancient Egyptian Empire lasted until the year 525 BC when the Persian king Cambyses II conquered Egypt and made it part of the Persian Empire.

595 BC - 589 BC: Psamtik II
589 BC - 570 BC: Apries
570 BC - 526 BC: Amasis (Ahmose II)
