A Concise History of the Modern World: 1500 to the Present:
A Guide to World Affairs,
Fourth Edition
by William Woodruff, Graduate
Research Professor (Emeritus) University of Florida in
Gainesville
Efficient compilation of 3500 years history on 400 pages. The
author links world events to their possible causes and
consequences without becoming lengthy. Likewise, the author’s
own interpretation is refreshingly short and to the point.
Quite a bit to read but all thumbs up!

352 pages. Great. Logical structure. With exercises, examples,
and “Study Guides” at the end of each chapter. It stresses the
responsibility of research writing: Writers of every kind rely
on research to provide the facts and figures with which they
work. |
