FREDERICK i BARBAROSSA
1123 - 1190


Fred was German king and Holy Roman emperor 1152 - 1190. His nickname Barbarossa is Italian and means Redbeard.

The main pain in Fred's neck was the Lombard League in northern Italy, which he fought 1154 - 1183.

Frederick died while being busy on the Third Crusade.
