WAR OF LIBERATION
1813 - 1814

The War of Liberation, also called in plural, the Wars of Liberation, was part of the Napoleonic Wars.

Napoleon was on his way back from Russia where he had his pants beaten off. Prussia, previously hassled by Napoleon (see War of the Fourth Coalition), decided this was an opportune time to declare war.

Soon after, Austria, Russia, and Sweden chimed in and defeated the French emperor at the Battle of Leipzig.
