MAX PLANCK
1858 - 1947

Max Karl Ernst Ludwig Planck lived 1858 - 1947 and was a German physicist. The quantum theory was his, and so was the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1918. And here is Max's banquet speech.

Basically, Max Planck and Albert Einstein turned the world of science upside down.

Max was born in Kiel, Germany, grew up in Munich, and ended up in Berlin.

Max's hobby was playing the piano, preferably the classics.

Max's wife was Marie Merck. They had two sons and two daughters. Marie died and Max married Marga von Hoesslin. Together they had one son.

And here is all you need to know about Max provided by the Max-Planck-Society.
