LOUIS BONAPARTE
1778 - 1846

Louis was Napoleon Bonaparte's brother and Napoleon III's father. Napoleon arranged for Louis to marry Josephine's daughter, Hortense de Beauharnais. That was in 1802.

In 1806, Napoleon decided for his brother Louis to become king of Holland. But the entire Dutch affair wasn't sitting right with the emperor, so he overran Holland in 1810 and Louis packed his bags, traveled through Europe, went to Italy, and became a writer.
