Admiral Sir John Jervis was British and became the Earl of St. Vincent after his victory at the Battle of Cape Saint Vincent.

Fighting alongside with him was Commodore Horatio Nelson, who started to attack the enemy on his own initiative.

Their flagship, the Victory, was later commanded by Nelson in the Battle of Trafalgar.
