John Churchill was the Earl of Marlborough and a British military man with a proven track record.

He won key battles, such as the Battle of Blenheim, the Battle of Ramillies, the Battle of Oudenaarde, and the Battle of Malplaquet.

In 1678, John married Sarah Jennings.
