Hamilcar Barca, or Barcas, was a general in the Carthaginian army.

He fought the Romans in the First Punic War. Hamilcar lost the war and Rome took all of Sicily.

Home at Africa, Hamilcar had to fight the rebels. This time he was successful.

Hamilcar went on to fight in Spain, where later son Hannibal joined him.

Hamilcar died in action.
