LUXEMBOURG DYNASTY
1308 - 1437
The Luxembourg Dynasty was founded in
963, when Siegfried, the Count of Ardennes, acquired a castle that
became the core of Luxembourg.
The following Holy Roman emperors were
provided by the House of Luxembourg:
Henry VII, who ruled 1308 - 1313
Charles IV, who ruled 1346 - 1378
Wenceslaus, who ruled 1378 - 1400
Sigismund, who ruled 1410 - 1437
After Sigismund's death in 1437, the
crown went to the house of Habsburg.
