LUXEMBOURG DYNASTY
1308 - 1437


The Luxembourg Dynasty was founded in 963, when Siegfried, the Count of Ardennes, acquired a castle that became the core of Luxembourg.

The following Holy Roman emperors were provided by the House of Luxembourg:

Henry VII, who ruled 1308 - 1313
Charles IV, who ruled 1346 - 1378
Wenceslaus, who ruled 1378 - 1400
Sigismund, who ruled 1410 - 1437
 

After Sigismund's death in 1437, the crown went to the house of Habsburg.
