SERVIUS TULLIUS
578 (?) BC - 535 (?) BC

Servius Tullius was the sixth king of ancient Rome. According to tradition, that is.

The first five kings were:

Romulus, who is complete fiction
Numa Pompilius
Tullus Hostilius
Ancus Marcius
Lucius Tarquinius Priscus

Servius Tullius didn't like his son-in-law because he murdered him and became the seventh king of ancient Rome, Lucius Tarquinius Superbus.

The seven kings were followed by the Roman Republic. See more on the Governments in History chart.
