Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa was a good friend of Octavian, who later became Roman Emperor Augustus, one of his most trusted officers and later even his son-in-law.

After Marcus helped Octavian win the Battle of Actium in 31 BC against Mark Antony, the people of Athens were in the doghouse because had supported Mark Antony.

Marcus negotiated with Octavian on behalf of Athens, which made the people of Athens so happy that they built him a temple on their Acropolis. And here is the map:
