Treaty of Värälä

The Treaty of Värälä settled the Russo-Swedish War, which was fought 1788 - 1790.

Russia and Sweden agreed to keep their borders the way they had been before Sweden started the war.

Gustaf Armfelt was the head negotiator for the Swedes.

The pre-war borders had been agreed on in 1743 and had been put on record as the Treaty of Åbo.
