BATTLE OF ROSSBACH
NOVEMBER 5, 1757


The Battle of Rossbach, Thuringia, was part of the Seven Years' War.


Who fought?

The Prussians, led by Frederick II the Great, vs. the Austrians and the French, led by Marshal Soubise.

Prussia won. The battle took two hours. Frederick's enemy had an army twice as big. But he could pull it off and the French-German army lost 7,000 men whereas Frederick lost only 550 of his men.
