The Battle of Pydna was fought between Rome and Macedonia.

Rome won.

The Battle of Pydna was part of the Third Macedonian War.

The Macedonian army was led by their king Perseus.

The Roman army was led by their general Lucius Aemilius Paullus.


The Battle of Pydna turned into a decisive defeat of Perses, and became the destruction of the Macedonian monarchy. Macedonia was divided into four republics.
