WILLIAM BLIGH
1754 - 1817


Controversial William Bligh was English and captain of the HMS Bounty, which was the hosting vessel of the legendary mutiny.

William Bligh's wife was Elizabeth Betham.

1776 - 1779 Sailing Master under Captain James Cook on his third voyage to the South Seas
1787, December - 1788, October - Voyage to Tahiti onboard the Bounty
1789, April 4 - The Bounty leaves Tahiti for England
1789, April 28 - Mutiny on the Bounty
1790, March - Bligh reaches England
1805 - 1810 Governor of New South Wales
1811 Rear Admiral
1814 Vice Admiral
