This artist's full name was Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni. Michelangelo was Italian and a genius.

Among other things, he was a sculptor, painter, and designer of fortifications. He also wrote poetry.

Some of his most famous works are the Sistine Chapel, Pietà, David, and Moses.
