ARCHAEOLOGY



Archaeology, which you can also spell archeology, is the science of finding stuff other people left behind.

The word archaeology has its roots in the Greek words archaeo for ancient and logia, meaning discourse.


How can you tell whether the skeleton you dug up in your backyard is male or female? This and many more fine things you will learn at your local archaeology introduction class.

If you are enthused but not a pro archaeology introduction classes are the way to go. Check for example the ones provided by Archaeology Scotland.
