Caesar's Civil War — Caesar Versus Pompey

Operations Around Durazzo (Dyrrachium / Durres / Drac) - July 6, 48 BC

Trying to break Caesar's siege lines, Pompey launched an aggressive offensive. He sent 60 cohorts to press onto Caesar's old camp from the north, and light-armed vessels that split into two groups:

One group landed troops directly against Caesar's siege lines, the other group approached Caesar's works from the south, creating pressure from three sides.
