Neerwinden is a small town in the east of today's Belgium.

The Battle of Neerwinden in 1793 was part of the French Revolutionary Wars.

WHO FOUGHT IN THE BATTLE OF NEERWINDEN?
France, led by General Dumouriez, was defeated by Austria. Dumouriez jumped at the opportunity and defected to the Austrians on April 5.
