THE ANGLES
 

The Angles originated in Schleswig, which is today's northern Germany and southern Denmark. They packed their knapsacks in the 5th century AD and invaded what became known as England, because they invaded it. Figure that one.

According to Tacitus, the Angles worshiped the a god named Nerthus.
