SAXON DYNASTY
919 - 1024

Henry I the Fowler became the founder of the Saxon Dynasty, also called the Liudolfing Dynasty, also spelled Ludolfing, when he was elected German king over the duchies of Saxony and Franconia. The year? 919.

Henry I died in 936 and his son Otto I the Great became the next king and later, in 962, Holy Roman emperor.

Otto I's son Otto II was next, ruling 973 - 983.

Otto II's son Otto III came afterwards and ruled 983 - 1002.

Next came Henry II, the son of Henry II the Quarrelsome, duke of Bavaria. Henry was the last ruler of the Saxon Dynasty and ruled as German king from 1002 and then as emperor from 1014 - 1024.
