CHAPULTEPEC CASTLE - MEXICO CITY
Built on Grasshopper Hill
Nahuatl is the
word for a bunch of old Aztecan languages.
In these tongues,
Chapultepec means Hill of the Grasshopper.
Above picture
depicts the terrace of Chapultepec Castle, where
James Creelman
had interviewed
President Diaz.
Here is the
Creelman Interview.
On the ceiling
will be noticed some of the Pompeian decorations
ordered by the hapless
Emperor
Maximilian.
Since 1944, the
Chapultepec Castle hosts the
Museo Nacional De
Historia, the National Museum of
History.
