The war of the Italian allies against
Rome.
This war was all about citizenship. The
Roman allies were good enough to fight with and for Rome but they were
denied Roman citizenship and all advantages that came with it.
The allies didn't think that was fair and revolted.
Rome gave in.
Gnaeus Pompeius Strabo, who was
the father of
Pompey the Great,
fought in this war, and so did
Lucius Cornelius Sulla.
