Charles-François du Périer Dumouriez, fought Austria.
The French won.
In more detail:
The French had invaded the Austrian
Netherlands on November 3, 1792. Three days later, on November 6,
1792, Dumouriez with an army of 45,000 defeated the army of the
Austrian Netherlands, who had 13,000 soldiers.
After this disaster, the Austrians
abandon Brussels. The Austrian forces, led by Duke Albert of Saxe-Teschen,
shuffle direction Rhineland.
Jean-Baptiste Jourdan also
fought for France in this battle.
