In 1845, Matilda married
Henry H.
Gage.
In 1871, Matilda Joslyn Gage delivered
her speech
On the Progress of Education and Industrial Avocations for Women.
On February 24, 1890, Matilda Joslyn
Gage delivered her
Dangers of the Hour speech at the convention of the
newly created Woman's National Liberal Union.
This organization
had split away from the National Woman Suffrage Association
and that not only women's voting rights but also the religious
element of society.
