Ansegisel 615 - 656
Ansegisel was the eldest son of
Arnulf of Metz and his wife
Doda.
He married
Begga,
daughter of
Pepin I the Elder.
Together they had a son,
Pepin II of Herstal.
Neustria's king Chlovis II
executed Ansegisel because of his involvement in the plot of
Grimoald who tried to sit on the throne of
Austrasia.
However, what the father couldn't get done
