John Barrett was a much appreciated American diplomat, his expertise became Latin America.

John Barrett had his hands full when the political stability of Mexico went down the drain during the Mexican Revolution. The US was ready for military intervention and it was Mr. Barrett's job to initiate negotiations in order to avoid war.
