Francis Joseph I, 1830 - 1916
EMPEROR FRANCIS JOSEPH I


Francis walked the earth from 1830 until 1916. His German name was Franz Joseph. His family was the Habsburg Dynasty.

Starting with the year 1867, Francis was also king of Hungary, as he split his Empire into Austria and Hungary. The exact date was June 8.

Charles I (German: Karl I) followed Francis Joseph to the throne.


Family

Francis Joseph's family had a tendency to kick the bucket prematurely:

Spouse: Empress Elizabeth (the one who was assassinated in Geneva, Switzerland)

Brother:
Archduke Maximilian, emperor of Mexico (the one who was shot) -
