SYRACUSE
 

Syracuse is Siracusa if you are Italian.

The city of Syracuse is located on the east coast of Sicily.

Back in the days, Carthage kept knocking on the city gates. Dionysius I the Elder became the hero of the day as well as Syracuse's tyrant. The year? 405-367 BC.

317-289 BC - Agathocles is tyrant of Syracuse; and carries on repeated wars with the Carthaginians; in the course of which (311) he invades Africa, and reduces the Carthaginians to great distress.
